The CB Team slate won a majority of PFT members' votes in the 2018 Delegate Election. CB Team delegates will represent the PFT at the 2018 AFT Convention and 2019 AFT-PA Convention.

Our Team

Over the past several years,

By mobilizing members and working with our political and community allies, the PFT, under the leadership of the CB Team.

  • Successfully fought in court to stop the District’s October 2014 attempt to cancel the PFT contract and impose exorbitant healthcare premiums on Philly’s educators.
  • Pressured the District to address school building conditions, such as mold and heating issues.
  • Mobilized thousands of Philadelphia Educators to elect pro-public education, pro-union candidates, including City Councilwoman At-Large Helen Gym, Mayor Jim Kenney, and Governor Tom Wolf.
  • Fought to bring clean drinking water to students in Philly’s schools
  • Worked with the Mayor’s Office to bring the first Community Schools to Philadelphia.
  • Fought to restore and compensate school counselors who were improperly laid off by the District.
